Each year on the Sunday closest to October 4th, we take a special opportunity to give gratitude to God for the joy of creation, especially those furry, feathery, and scaley creations we are blessed to call friends. We do this in the example of St. Francis of Assisi, who saw God in all creation considered every part of creation his brother and sister, even famously preaching to the birds of the air. He is the patron saint of animals, but is also a broader symbol of the deeply Christian value of environmental stewardship.

In that spirit, we invite everyone in our community to bring their pets to this special outdoor service for a blessing. If for whatever reason your pet is not able to come, we still encourage you to bring a picture! We will say prayers for all our beloved animal friends even if they cannot be present. For those pets present, we will have water, shade, and treats! We ask that all pets please be on a leash or in a carrier.
