Join us on Sunday, October 18, 2026, as St. Luke’s Episcopal Church celebrates 125 years of faith, hope, and community in Galt.

The celebration begins at 10:00 a.m. with a Festal Eucharist, presided over by the the Rt. Rev. Megan Traquair, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Northern California. Together, we will give thanks for the generations who have worshiped, served, celebrated, and found community at St. Luke’s since the Episcopal mission was established in Galt in 1901. We will also be celebrating the confirmation of several individuals making a big step in their own journeys of faith.  

Following the service, St. Luke’s will open its doors to the wider community for an Anniversary Open House from 12:00–5:00 p.m. Visitors will be invited to explore historical exhibits featuring photographs, documents, artifacts, and stories from throughout St. Luke’s history, as well as learn more about our historic church building, constructed in 1884 and a part of the Galt community for more than 140 years. Refreshments will be served throughout the afternoon.

Mayor Bonnie Rodriguez of Galt will also join us as we kick off the Open House to present a proclamation recognizing St. Luke’s 125th anniversary and its long history in the community.

For 125 years, St. Luke’s has sought to be a place of worship, welcome, fellowship, and service. Whether you are a longtime member, a former parishioner, a neighbor, a local history enthusiast, or have simply wondered about the little historic church with the red doors, you are warmly invited to come celebrate with us!
