DESCRIPTION:Each year on the Sunday closest to October 4th\, we take a spec
 ial opportunity to give gratitude to God for the joy of creation\, especia
 lly those furry\, feathery\, and scaley creations we are blessed to call f
 riends. We do this in the example of St. Francis of Assisi\, who saw God i
 n all creation considered every part of creation his brother and sister\, 
 even famously preaching to the birds of the air. He is the patron saint of
  animals\, but is also a broader symbol of the deeply Christian value of e
 nvironmental stewardship. \nIn that spirit\, we invite everyone in our co
 mmunity to bring their pets to this special outdoor service for a blessing
 . If for whatever reason your pet is not able to come\, we still encourage
  you to bring a picture! We will say prayers for all our beloved animal fr
 iends even if they cannot be present. For those pets present\, we will hav
 e water\, shade\, and treats! We ask that all pets please be on a leash or
  in a carrier.
